First day of SCICON!
Dear Community Partners -
We (Alpaugh Unified, Ducor Union, Terra Bella Union, and Strathmore Union elementary school districts) are working to build a network of community partners and agencies to support the students and families of Southern Tulare County. We received a California Community Schools planning grant and want to invite community partners to work with us. We are reaching out to current and future community partners to share about our collaboration and to learn more about your work and how we can all work together to support the students and families. As small rural districts, we believe a collective effort provides us with a stronger voice in advocating for our students.
Who: We would like all community partners to send up to 2 people to this event so that we can learn directly about your support of students and families in Tulare County. If possible, we would love it if those attending are decision-makers in their agency and have a deep knowledge of the programs/services they offer.
What: We want you to know more about our collective work and we want to know about you and your goals.
When: Wednesday, April 19th. from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm
Where: Carl F. Middle School in Terra Bella
Why: We have to come to the table together to get to know each other better. We are moving to apply for a larger Community School Implementation grant and want to be able to thoughtfully include community partners in this work.
